THE REAL POOP ON THE 2025 Poop Drop

Georgetown, CO. Call to Doo-ty

The Georgetown Pack Burro Race Poop Drop is sponsored by the Clear Creek 2000 Rotary Club Foundation. The Pack Burro poop drop grid will be 20 ft wide, squares (really, rectangles) will be about 2-1/2 ft wide by 5 ft long spaces for a starting total of 400 spaces in the first block after the starting line. After the burros have taken off there will be an assessment of the poop on the ground. If there is poop on the Poop Drop allotted space, then the winning squares will be determined. The square with the most poop (by weight) inside the lines will be declared the winner of the first prize; the square with the second most poop inside the lines will be winner of the second prize. If the poop falls in a square that is not purchased the winning square will be the nearest purchased square (as determined by the Race Director, with the lowest square number if more than one are equally close). In the event of inclement weather, last minute changes in start area and/or any other event which may render the race unable to do a physical poop drop, the winner will be determined by a random drawing done by Clear Creek 2000 Rotary’s Race Director. The Decisions of the Race Director will be final. Members of Clear Creek 2000 Rotary Club are not eligible to win. Results will be posted at Rotary Club of Clear Creek

  • In the event poop falls across multiple squares and a clear winner cannot be determined, the poop in question will be weighed to establish a winner.

  • If no poop falls within any of the purchased squares, the total proceeds will be split equally between Chaffee County Search and Rescue North and Buena Vista Pack Burro Race LLC.
